Photographer Jan Poláček and his Slovak wife Lenka reached the summit of the world's second highest mountain on Monday. They conquered K2 shortly after 5:30 p.m. local time. Poláček became only the seventh Czech to reach the summit of the 8,611-meter-high mountain.
