Škoda Auto's global sales in the first quarter increased by 14 percent year-on-year to 271,900 vehicles, parent company Volkswagen announced. However, sales of the entire VW Group fell by four percent in the first quarter to around 2.05 million vehicles. The reason was mainly weaker demand in China and North America.
