Daniel Tschofenig made it to third place in Oberstdorf and Jan Hörl, like Stephan Embacher, jumped into the top field. Last year's winner Kraft, on the other hand, ended up in 33rd place.
Slovenian ski jumper Domen Prevc (141.5 m, 162.2) is convincingly leading after the first series of the World Cup competition in Oberstdorf, Germany, where the New Year's tour began. Second is Austrian Jan Hörl (136.5 m, 153.9) with 8.3 points behind, third is the latter's compatriot Jonas Schuster (138.5 m, 152.4). Fifth is Timi Zajc (133.5 m, 151.5).
Johann André Forfang made it to the final round, but was unsuccessful in his first jump of this year's jumping week.
