Six Flags Great Adventure Unveils World's Tallest and Fastest Spinning Launch Coaster
The free-spinning, floorless coaster will reach 382 feet and 100 mph and claim six world records when it opens in 2027.
- On Tuesday, Six Flags Great Adventure announced Bakunawa, a record-breaking spinning coaster inspired by a mythical sea serpent from Philippine mythology, set to launch in 2027 at the Jackson park.
- Fulfilling a promise to fans, the coaster replaces Kingda Ka, which was demolished in February 2025. The former ride, which debuted in 2005, previously held the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster titles.
