A woman from Ranchi has allegedly been held captive in Dubai after being lured with a promise of a nursing job. Her family has accused agents of trafficking, forced labour and extortion, with an FIR registered in Ranchi and the MEA approached for her safe return.
Monika Kachhap, an Adivasi woman from Ranchi, Jharkhand, was lured to Dubai with the promise of a nursing job. Upon arriving in Sharjah, human traffickers snatched her passport and held her hostage. The family has filed a police complaint and demanded the government's safe return of their daughter.
