PFA Merit Award: Ex-England men's football team coach Gareth Southgate and USA women's team manager Emma Hayes have been named the 2025 recipients of the PFA Merit Award, recognising their contributions to football and achievements.

Sir Gareth Southgate is to be honoured with the Professional Footballers' Association's Merit award at tonight's gala dinner.

The former England men's boss is being recognised for his contributions to football and his achievements with the Three Lions. The record-breaking former Chelsea women's boss Emma Hayes is also a recipient of the same prize. She previously led the London club to seven Women’s Super League titles, five of them in succession.
