Sir Dave Brailsford Has Left His Role as Director with Manchester United
Companies House filings confirmed Brailsford’s exit after he scaled back duties last year and returned to a wider INEOS sport role.
On April 30, Companies House documents confirmed that Sir Dave Brailsford is no longer a director of Manchester United, formalizing the end of his role within the club hierarchy.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe appointed Brailsford as a director on February 19, 2024, but the executive scaled back his involvement last year to focus on his role as director of sport for INEOS.
During his tenure, Brailsford championed 'Mission 21' for the men's team and 'Mission 1' for the women's team while overseeing the £50 million refurbishment of the Carrington training complex.
Manchester United sources confirmed that Brailsford is no longer a director, marking the formal conclusion of his association with the club after months of reduced involvement.
Before joining Manchester United, Brailsford led British cycling into a golden era using his 'marginal gains' concept, which posits that small improvements in multiple areas produce significant rewards.
