Simu Liu's mind gets hacked in first trailer for Peacock's 'Copenhagen Test'
Simu Liu stars as an intelligence analyst whose hacked brain is exploited by his agency to track intruders while he tries to prove his loyalty in an eight-episode thriller.
- On Dec. 27, Peacock will debut The Copenhagen Test, an eight-episode spy thriller starring Liu as Alexander Hale, whose brain is hacked, according to the trailer.
- The agency opts to exploit Alexander Hale's compromised mind instead of punishing him, forcing him to perform 24/7 to expose unknown hackers while clearing his name.
- Universal Studio Group's UCP produces The Copenhagen Test, with creators Thomas Brandon and Jennifer Yale as co-showrunners and executive producers including James Wan and Jet Wilkinson, who directed the first two episodes; the cast features Melissa Barrera, Adina Porter and Brian d'Arcy James.
- The trailer opens with Marlowe and John Moira bringing Alexander Hale in for questioning, featuring lines like `How long have you willingly been committing treason against the United States government?` and `You're the mole, Alexander`.
- Peacock released a full trailer Monday that significantly expands on an October teaser, and UPI reported Dec. 8 that it shows Simu Liu’s character learning his brain was hacked.
