Simple Minds and Chaka Khan to headline BBC Radio 2 In The Park
Chaka Khan and Simple Minds will headline the three-day event, with a Friday DJ pre-party and live coverage on Radio 2, BBC Sounds and iPlayer.
On Tuesday, BBC Radio 2 announced its 2026 festival in Stirling, Scotland, featuring headliners Chaka Khan and Simple Minds at City Park from September 11 to 13.
Simple Minds, led by Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, will perform their only UK show this year, while Chaka Khan, the 'Queen of Funk,' brings her Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award-winning career to Saturday night.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, June 10, at 8:30am, priced from £84 for the weekend, with performers including The Script, Emeli Sandé, ABC, Jack Savoretti, Lulu, Texas, Level 42, and James Blunt.
A Friday night pre-party featuring presenters Sara Cox and Vernon Kay costs £40, while listeners can catch all the action live on Radio 2, BBC Sounds, and iPlayer throughout the weekend.
Jeff Smith, Head of Music for Radio 2, described Stirling as an 'incredible setting,' marking the station's return to Scotland for a major live event since BBC Music's Biggest Weekend in May 2018.
