- Gathering at Gurudwara Panjokhra Sahib, Sikh groups and farmers demanded an FIR against Mand, alleging he attempted to run over individuals with his car on August 5, which led to the highway occupation.
- As darkness fell, Ambala Superintendent of Police Ajit Singh Shekhawat stated "mischievous elements" attacked police with weapons, injuring six officers including a DSP whose thumb was nearly severed.
- To restore traffic, police deployed lathicharge and tear gas, while Haryana DGP Ajay Singhal confirmed an FIR was registered against Mand under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
- With the highway now cleared, authorities are monitoring the situation and have vowed to identify those involved in the violence to pursue strict legal action against the perpetrators.
