The Slovak national train operator Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko (ZSSK) has signed a contract with a two-member consortium led by the Czech Škoda Group to purchase battery-powered and electric trains. The order value for up to 36 trains is almost 332 million euros (roughly eight billion CZK).
