Following the announcement of widespread water outages across Okinawa's main island, Yonabaru Town in Okinawa Prefecture called for cooperation in water conservation via emergency disaster prevention radio across the town just before 1:00 pm on the 24th. The town is expected to be affected by the water outage, but because it has water storage tanks, it will be able to supply tap water for around 24 hours after the water outage.
