SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)- The Shreveport DDA celebrated downtown's legacy on the 190th anniversary of the Caddo Indian Treaty signing, also know as the Treaty of Cession. It was signed on July 1, 1835, by the Caddo Nation and the United States. In the deal, the U.S. got one million acres of land, which includes present-day Caddo Parish and Miller County, Arkansas.
