On Wednesday the Federal Government wants to approach the opposition. In order to extend the civil service, a two-thirds majority is needed.
In the case of a longer civil service, men are supposed to have a choice. In the case of military service, a "7 plus 2" model is agreed.
As of January 2027, the basic military service will be extended. However, the civil service will not be adjusted until 2028. Our question of the day of September 22 is therefore: "Should the civil service be extended from nine to eleven months?
If there are too few basic military officers in the future, the civil service will be extended. Three different options are available for performance.
After the coalition has already reached an agreement on the military reform, there is now progress in civil service. Future civil servants should be able to choose from several options. In addition, there should be compulsory training. However, the votes of FPÖ or Greens are still needed before the reform can come to the vote.
VIENNA. The government has agreed on the civil service reform. Should there be an extension due to too little interest in the presence service, there will be three ways to complete it.
