Short track-Dutch skater Xandra Velzeboer wins gold in women's 500 metres

In Milan on Thursday, Velzeboer secured the women's 500m gold at the Milan Cortina Olympics, finishing in 41.609 seconds.
With an Olympic-record 41.853 in the quarterfinals, Velzeboer remained the-160 favorite after dominating heats, and then set a new world record of 41.399 in the semifinals.
