Sheriff investigates self-inflicted gunshot at Little Walnut area - Silvercity Daily Press

The Gila National Forest Service called dispatch Sunday after a woman in her 60s was found at the Gomez Peak-Little Walnut picnic area with a gunshot wound to her chest. Lt. Cody Cooper with the Grant County Sheriff’s Department said the department received a dispatch call around 3:20 p.m. Sunday requesting assistance for the woman.
