The first two films may have earned Oscar nominations for Best Animated Feature of their respective years, but the third time is not the charm. “Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom” feels more like a television holiday special than a theatrical feature film. Like an extended storyline from one of the shorts of “The Simpsons: Treehouse of Terror,” this film relies more on its stop-motion animation than it does on story.
