Giants Designate Carson Ragsdale For Assignment

The Giants announced Monday that they’ve designated minor league right-hander Carson Ragsdale for assignment. His spot on the roster goes to lefty Carson Whisenhunt, whose previously reported promotion to the majors has now been made official. Right-hander Sean Hjelle was optioned to Triple-A to open a 26-man roster spot. More to come.
