Seven House Democrats Making Day Trip to New Mexico Amid Redistricting Battle

SANTA FE COUNTY, NEW MEXICO, JUL 29 – Seven Texas House Democrats met with New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham to build a national coalition opposing Texas Republicans' mid-decade redistricting plan ahead of 2026 elections.

With a quorum break on the table for the minority party as a way to thwart a GOP bid for more congressional seats, members travel out-of-state for a third time.
