WEST BANK, JORDAN VALLEY, JUL 18 – The attack on Palestinian Bedouin livestock is part of a 13% rise in settler violence since January, causing injuries and forcing at least one family to relocate, officials said.
- On Friday morning, Israeli settlers slaughtered over 100 sheep and assaulted local residents in al-Miteh, Jordan Valley, in the occupied West Bank.
- The violent attack forced two families to evacuate their homes and relocate to al-Auja near Jericho.
- Aref Daraghmeh, a local anti-settlement activist, stated that at least 30 Bedouin families have been displaced in the Jordan Valley due to increased settler violence since the war on Gaza began.
- Mahmoud Kaabneh reported that during the attack, the Israeli army supported the settlers, preventing local residents from safeguarding their livestock and reports of settlers using tractors to ram homes.
