Senegal: Army Intercepts 201 Migrants Leaving for Spain in the Sine Saloum Delta

SENEGAL, JUL 10 – The Senegalese navy and marines stopped 201 migrants, including families and people from Asia and the Middle East, using the Atlantic route to Europe, amid rising crossings reported by Spanish authorities.

The operation took place on the night of Tuesday 8 to Wednesday 9 July in an area that had become a privileged starting point for candidates for illegal emigration from Senegal.
