Hocevar Unfazed by Contact with Keselowski, Who Vows Payback
Keselowski said Hocevar’s day is coming after contact sent him spinning and left him 23rd in the Cook Out Southern 500, officials said.
- On Sunday at Darlington Raceway, Carson Hocevar made contact with Brad Keselowski during Stage 1 of the Cook Out Southern 500, sending the 2012 Cup Series champion spinning off turn two and ending the stage.
- Competing in his first Cup Series Chase as one of 16 drivers battling for a championship, Hocevar had bounced back from recent struggles after scoring two DNFs in the last three regular-season races.
- Keselowski told Above The Yellow Line Media that Hocevar ran into him and issued a direct warning: "There will be. His day is coming, and it's coming hard."
- When questioned about the incident, Hocevar remained seemingly unfazed, responding "I'll tighten my belts" and telling Motorsport he was unsure how the spin occurred.
- The difficult run at Darlington continues a rough 2026 season for the 42-year-old Keselowski, who failed to make The Chase for the second consecutive year while RFK Racing teammates Chris Buescher and Ryan Preece compete for the championship.
