The Government of Mexico set a definitive deadline for the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE) to respond to the proposal presented by the administration of President Claudia Sheinbaum, in an attempt to unravel the teachers' conflict that over the past few weeks has provoked mobilizations, blockades and repercussions in different parts of the country.

He accused the teachers of the CNTE of not presenting any counterproposal to the proposals of the Federal Government during the negotiation tables.

The Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, said the authorities are looking for observations and proposals from the teachers' office to advance agreements on pensions, teaching career and labour rights.
