Security Forces Kill Five Terrorists in Lakki Marwat IBO: ISPR

Security forces recovered weapons from the killed terrorists linked to India-backed Fitna al Khawarij during ongoing Operation Azm-e-Istehkam against foreign-sponsored terrorism.

  • On March 15, security forces killed five terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ISPR said.
  • State officials say the operation targeted Fitna al Khawarij amid recent raids, including CTD's killing of six two days ago and four on Wednesday.
  • The ISPR said in its account that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, and troops engaged the khawarij location in an intense firefight.
  • Security officials began a sanitisation operation to eliminate any other India-sponsored kharji, and the ISPR vowed Operation Azm-e-Istehkam will continue at full pace.
  • Since the Afghan Taliban took power in 2021, Pakistan's Operation Ghazab lil-Haq killed around 684 militants, with more than 900 injured and over 200 killed in clashes.
