French Open - Eva Lys Retires in Second Round

The last German tennis player at the French Open must be defeated by 18-year-old Victoria Mboko. Daniel Altmaier fights against it in wind and drizzle into the third round.

German tennis player Eva Lys finished in the second round of the French Open. She was the last German player in the tournament. Lys lost to Canadian qualifier Victoria Mboko in Paris with 4:6 and 4:6.

After 1:19 hours Eva Lys was also out of the French Open. As the last player the German number one in round two failed. Thus the tournament for the German tennis women is over again.

A "very deserved victory" of the only 18-year-old opponent: Eva Lys is the last German tennis player to retire in the single competition at the French Open.
