Sebastian Stan and Ana de Armas will star in Impunity, an espionage thriller from Chilean filmmaker Felipe Gálvez, with Pathé handling international sales and distribution.
Based on Philippe Sands' book "38 Londres Street," the film centers on a former spy preventing Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet's escape after his 1998 arrest in London sparked international tensions.
Two characters—a mercenary and a Chilean envoy—navigate parallel covert operations in Pinochet's aftermath, with supporting cast featuring actor Alfredo Castro, actor Antonia Zegers, and actor Alejandro Goic.
Production spans the United Kingdom, Spain, and Chile, reuniting Gálvez with key collaborators from The Settlers including cinematographer Simone D'Arcangelo and editor Matthieu Taponier.
Gálvez aims to explore "pages erased from our history," reflecting Pathé's ambition to back director-driven films led by high-profile talent while interrogating global society's foundations.
