The abbot emeritus of Montserrat, Sebastià M. Bardolet Pujol (Torelló, 1934-Montserrat, 2025) died today at the age of 91, as reported by the Abbey of Montserrat. He held the highest office of the Benedictine monastery for eleven years, between 1989 and 2000 when he gave the witness to Josep Maria Soler. His funeral, which will be presided over by Abbot Manel Gasch, will take place this Thursday in the Basilica of Santa Maria.
The abbot emeritus of Montserrat, Sebastià M. Bardolet i Pujol, died today at the age of ninety-one, according to a statement from the Abbey of Montserrat.
