In CROATIA, 1,725 missing and deceased persons are still being sought in the Homeland War, and the largest number relates to the Vukovar-Srijem County.
Documenta - Center for Dealing with the Past said on Sunday, on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Missing in the Homeland War and the International Day of Missing Persons, that the missing oblige us to a humanitarian approach devoid of all political turmoil and conflict.
The search is still on for 1,725 people missing from the Homeland War. 320 of them are from Vukovar, where the Day of Remembrance for the Missing was marked.
The central ceremony of this year's International Day of Missing Persons and the Day of Remembrance for Missing Persons from the Homeland War was held on Sunday in Vukovar, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Croatian Veterans Tomo Medved said that Croatia is searching for another 1,725 missing and deceased people from the Homeland War.
On the International Day of Missing Persons, Croatia also remembers those who were missing in the Homeland War.
