A disoriented beak whale was shot on Sylt. The animal was driven in the Watt near Munkmarsch. It was emaciated and apparently also sick.
On the coast of Sylvia, a nearly four-metre-long whale strands. Attempts to push it back into the water fail. A seal hunter kills the animal after all. The whale was already doomed to death, he says.
On the North Sea island of Sylt, a seal hunter shot a 3.80 meter long whale. Previously, passers-by had tried in vain to push the washed-in animal back into the sea.
The sea mammal swam around Sylt in the North Sea without any orientation. A rescue remains unsuccessful. With a permit seal hunters were allowed to kill the approximately 3.80 meter long animal.
Unusual use: A whale must be killed in front of the North Sea island of Sylt. Apparently it was a relief for the rare guest near the coast.
