Leeds Bradford Airport Rated 'Good' in National Report - Here's Why
The report says no UK airport was rated needs improvement or poor, while demand for assistance services has risen 115.8% since 2015.
The UK Civil Aviation Authority released its 2025/26 Airport Accessibility Report, awarding 'very good' ratings to 19 of 28 assessed UK airports, with none falling into 'poor' or 'needs improvement' categories.
Since the Airport Accessibility Performance Framework launched in 2014, the regulator has overseen a decade of investment in facilities and staff training, improving upon the 13 airports rated 'poor' or 'needs improvement' at that time.
While overall passenger satisfaction reached 88 percent, the Aviation Consumer Survey found satisfaction among disabled passengers was lower at 82 percent, and 58 percent of disabled consumers reported difficulties accessing or using airports.
Demand for assistance services has soared, with requests rising by almost 116 percent since 2015, compared to overall passenger growth of around 24 percent, requiring continued investment in support services.
Anna Bowles, Head of Consumer Protection at the CAA, stated the authority will consult on a revised framework later this year, while the Civil Aviation Bill currently before Parliament could provide additional enforcement powers.
