Golden Knights' Brayden McNabb Leaves Stanley Cup Final Game 2 After Taking a Puck to the Face
Vegas ruled McNabb out after the defenseman took a rising slapshot to the face and was sent to a local hospital for evaluation.
On Thursday, Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Brayden McNabb left Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final after taking a puck to the face at Lenovo Center and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Midway through the first period, a slap shot from Carolina forward Nikolaj Ehlers struck McNabb in the face, causing him to rush to the locker room with players signaling for assistance.
Captain Mark Stone said, "You lose a guy like Nabber," while fellow D-man Noah Hanifin added, "It's hard to see that happen to any guy."
Vegas ruled McNabb out for the remainder of the game shortly after his exit; Coach John Tortorella said "they played well" and had no update on McNabb's condition after the loss.
Either Ben Hutton or Kaedan Korczak figures to play in Game 3 on Saturday if McNabb remains unavailable, with McNabb having been part of the Golden Knights' nine-year franchise history.
