The Saugerties Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run car accident that occurred on Wednesday, January 10, where 21-year-old Starllie Swonyoung of Saugerties was fatally struck from behind by a southbound vehicle while walking along the shoulder of the roadway on Route 9W between the Village of Saugerties and the hamlet of Malden.
