The bench was hearing a report filed by senior advocate Ajit Kumar Sinha, assisting the court as amicus curiae in a pan-India case on unauthorised construction.
The Supreme Court may transfer the case of the five-story Satya Niketan building collapse from the Delhi High Court to itself. On Thursday (September 10), in the case of illegal construction and disregard for safety standards, the Supreme Court stated that it wants to focus its hearing on land use.
