- Sarvam's voice agents have gathered data from 17 million farmers for India's Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, while its platforms transcribe more than 500,000 hours of audio monthly and digitize more than 35 million pages of records.
- Demand for local AI solutions sharpened last week when the US forced Anthropic to pull its most powerful models from non-US users, highlighting the vulnerability of relying on overseas providers for critical infrastructure.
- With the fresh capital, Sarvam will fund research into agentic, coding, and cybersecurity models; Raghavan noted the ambition is to "diffuse this technology widely in India," helping citizens, businesses, and governments innovate.
