Pope Francis always had room in his prayers for the people most in need. This is the case of the victims of the dana, to whom the pontiff dedicated a few words of encouragement and comfort. On several occasions he recalled and prayed for those affected by the tragedy and even received several Valencian priests.

Pedro Sánchez, has appeared accompanied by black crespons for the death of the Pope but did not do so in mourning for the victims of the DANA.

The Sánchez government is once again demonstrating that it has few qualms about using any event, no matter how tragic, for political purposes. To begin with, the government has declared three days of official mourning for the death of the Supreme Pontiff after failing to offer Holy Week greetings to the millions of Spanish Christians and after Sánchez omitted any reference to Catholicism in his message of condolences.
