Galaxy Fold 8 Delivery Times Delayed at Samsung, Best Buy and Amazon Still Shipping Pre-Order Deals by Monday (or Sooner)
Samsung’s new foldable pairs a 200MP main camera with an 8-inch inner display, while the top model costs NZ$4,699, reviewers said.
- Samsung released the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, a new form-factor device distinguishing itself from the traditional Galaxy Z Fold8. Both phones feature the overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor.
- To improve durability, Samsung applied a dual layer of titanium below the main display. The Ultra is engineered to 4.1mm thinness and weighs 215grams, making it remarkably light despite the extensive screen real estate.
- Equipped with a triple-sensor camera array, the Ultra includes a 200MP main shooter, 8K video capability, and up to 30x digital zoom. A 5,000mAh battery powers intensive AAA gaming without thermal stress.
- Starting with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, Samsung also offers a 1TB model with 16GB of RAM. The premium configuration carries a price tag of NZ$4,699.00.
- Critics note the internal punch-hole camera placement, located about 3/4 along the top edge, remains awkward. This design choice interferes with user activities, particularly when watching sport or media on the Galaxy display.
