Faced with record waiting times in several departments, Minister François-Noël Buffet also announced on Thursday the recruitment of 108 new inspectors.
This measure must be accompanied by the recruitment of inspectors in auto-schools, in order to shorten the time between obtaining the road code and passing the permit.
Faced with the congestion to pass his examination of the driver's licence, the minister delegated to the Minister of the Interior, François-Noël Buffet, announced this Thursday that 80 000 additional places will be opened by the end of 2025.
While passing his driver's license has become more and more complicated for many French, the government is getting in order. The minister to the Minister of the Interior announces "emergency measures", involving new examiners' posts and the opening of new examination places.
The Minister Delegate for the Interior, François-Noël Buffet, announced on Thursday 31 July the opening of an additional 80,000 places for the examination of the driving licence by the end of the year, in order to reduce waiting times. 108 inspectors will be recruited, he said.
