Saudi Arabia asked the White House for help in fighting the rebels in Yemen, but the group is really moving forward.
The Iranian-backed rebels have seized strategic areas near the Bab al-Mandab Strait and are warning countries in the region not to join the campaign on Riyadh's side. At the same time, they have pledged not to attack American vessels. Trump has so far refrained from direct intervention and has not pledged to help the Yemeni president in his fight against them.
