Rwanda: Defence Ministry Air-Ticket Scandal - Court Postpones Bail Ruling
A military tribunal in Kigali on Thursday, August 21, postponed a bail ruling in a case involving 28 defendants, including three Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) officers, two Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS) officers, and several civilians including well-known sports journalists.
Twenty young people were stopped at Melchior Ndadaye Airport in Bujumbura while travelling to Dubai for work. Four individuals, not yet identified, prevented their boarding while they were in good standing. Reason: these young people did not pass through the approved recruitment agencies. Many Burundians wonder how unqualified people can give themselves the right to prevent people from travelling.
