On June 16, Telecanal, one of the mainstream television stations in Chile, stopped broadcasting its usual local canned and advertising programming, replacing it with the signal of RT in Spanish, the Kremlin channel banned in Europe and the US at the start of the war in Ukraine and identified by the EU as a "tool" of the Kremlin that "threats" security in the receiving countries.
