A Soviet MiG-25 Foxbat fired a Soviet AA-6 air-to-air missile at an SR-71 Blackbird flown by U.S. Air Force Colonel David Cobb near Vladivostok. The SR-71’s Defensive Electronic Gear (DEF) broke the Soviet missile’s lock on the SR-71. The Soviet AA-6 missile may have locked back onto the Soviet MiG-25 that fired it.
