Russian Central Bank Slashes Key Rate, Sees More Balanced Economy Ahead
Russia’s Central Bank trimmed its key interest rate to 15.5% at its first rate-setting meeting of the year on Friday, continuing a streak of cuts that saw five reductions last year.
The Bank of Russia again lowered the key rate from 16 to 15.5 per cent of the year.
Inflation in January was 6 per cent compared to the previous year and 1.62 per cent compared to December, well below forecasts
