The Constitutional Court (TC) rejected the appeal of the Lisbon Chamber on the case known as "Russiagate", deciding that Austria will have to pay the fee related to the delivery of personal data to Russia. See this and other news on the TV RECORD website.
According to the Journal of News today, Austria claimed that there was no place to pay the fine - about EUR 1 million and EUR 250 000 per 225 infringements of the General Data Protection Regulation (WGPD) in the first decision -- since, within the municipality's understanding, non-business public entities would not be covered. The TC rejected this argument, ending by validating all previous court decisions in this regard.
