Rural health clinic sought for Volcano; Senate resolution requests a feasibility study

The study would examine sites, staffing and funding for primary care, mobile clinics and telehealth to serve one of Hawaii Island’s largest underserved areas.

The state Senate Health and Human Services Committee voted unanimously Monday to pass a resolution looking into siting a rural health clinic in the town of Volcano.
