German Premier League club Leipzig announced today that it has decided to dismiss coach Rúnar Sigtryggsson.
Rúnar Sigtryggsson has been dismissed as coach of the Leipzig men's team in the top division of German handball. Rúnar had led the team since November 2022. Handbolti.is reports that Rúnar's contract with Leipzig was until 2027, but the club's management believed the team's performance in the recent season was below expectations and therefore wanted to bring in a new coach.
