Benbrook’s Ace Hardware is one of the company’s 5,000 stores locally owned and operated. Mark Labadie originally worked for the hardware store at the corporate level, but when he and his wife, Katie Labadie, came across available commercial space, they decided to take a shot at running a business themselves. “A five-year plan turned into a five-minute plan,” said Mark Labadie. “So we had to do it now.
