Royals’ Cole Ragans nears return with a Triple-A rehab start after elbow injury
Kansas City Royals left-hander Cole Ragans is expected to make a rehab start at Triple-A Omaha as he recovers from a left elbow injury.
The rehab plan for Cole Ragans includes pitching four or five innings with a target of 60 to 65 pitches during the start.
He was placed on the 15-day injured list on May 8 due to a left elbow impingement after experiencing soreness and being pulled from a May 6 game.
Ragans had Tommy John surgeries in 2018 and 2019, was traded to Kansas City in August 2023, and became a first-time All-Star in 2024 with an 11-9 record and a 3.14 ERA in 32 starts.
