The days I started spending by watching over my mother were long. Very long. Even in the beginning stages or her early onset Alzheimer’s. Sande was diagnosed at 59 years old. There’s a great book about caregiving for people with various forms of Dementia called The 36 Hour Day.  I can’t recommend that book enough for anyone unfortunate enough to find themselves in need of such information.
