EastEnders Star Says Mum ‘Stable’ After Being Rushed to Hospital During England Game
Kemp thanked paramedics after saying his mother was okay and stable, and he missed match coverage because he rushed her to hospital.
On Saturday, EastEnders star Ross Kemp rushed his mother to the hospital during England's Bronze Final against France, later confirming she is "stable" following the medical emergency.
Kemp, who has played Grant Mitchell on EastEnders for 36 years, is widely known for his passionate social media commentary during the FIFA World Cup. His absence from coverage was notable given his typical tournament presence.
England secured a 6-4 victory over France in the Bronze Final, marking their best World Cup finish since 1966. Following the win, Kemp updated followers on Instagram that his mother is "okay" and thanked paramedics for their help.
"Huge thank you to the paramedics who've helped me get my mum to hospital tonight," Kemp said on Instagram. He emphasized that some things are "more important than football," explaining his social media absence during the match.
England finished third after a 2-1 semi-final loss to Argentina last week. Argentina will face Spain in the World Cup final on Sunday at New York New Jersey Stadium, concluding the tournament.
