Room rents rise fastest in towns and smaller cities as flatsharers look beyond major centres

The steepest room rent rises are being concentrated in Scotland, northern England and the Midlands, with towns and smaller cities far more likely to see sharp increases than major cities, according to Q4 2025 rental index data from SpareRoom.
